The Holiday Give Orcas campaign opens this Monday, November 20th and runs through December 6th. There are 18 great programs seeking funding in this cycle. I hope you received a guide in the mail this week. If not, you can check out the opportunities at www.giveorcas.org.
We will kick off the campaign by revealing the 2023 Flat Person on Monday morning. What is a Flat Person? They are community members who are selected to be ambassadors for the campaign. We invite the community to guess who this year’s Flat Person might be, by distributing hints the week prior to the GiveOrcas launch. So far, the hints are:

They have lived in six countries.

Orcas is not their first Island home.

They are celebrating 10 years on Orcas.

They tend to a growing flock.

Their spouse is often assumed to be a star.
Think you know who this is? Send us your guess. Everyone who guesses correctly will be entered into a drawing and one lucky winner will receive $500 to give to the GiveOrcas proposal of their choice. We are really excited to get this underway!
