Effective July 30th, 2021, San Juan County Health Officer Dr. Frank James is recommending that all islanders and visitors mask up when entering an indoor public space whether you are vaccinated or not.
It’s already a requirement for unvaccinated people to continue wearing a mask. This recommendation encourages businesses to ask all people to wear a mask when indoors to help protect workers and the community.
San Juan County is leading the state in vaccination rates, however, some in our community are unprotected or under-protected. Unvaccinated people, children under the age of 12 and those who share a household with them should remain vigilant. Cases are rising across the country again.
For those organizations and businesses that would like flyers to hang in their establishments, we have them in English and Spanish. We recommend that you hang both versions to keep us all safe. You can find a PDF here.
Stay safe everyone.
