Congrats to Peggy Rhoads, who guessed OICF’s Flat Person correctly this year and was the winner of our drawing for $500 toward a nonprofit in this year’s GiveOrcas Holiday Catalog! Peggy said, “What a surprise! All the possible organizations are worthy of this gift but I choose Orcas Island’s Children’s House to receive the $500 so generously offered by the Foundation.” This year we had our most Flat Person guesses – 145 – with 60 of them correct.
Flat Haley (Cruz Winchell) will join OICF’s Flat Family, and thus become the 2020 super-mascot and biggest cheerleader for the Giveorcas Holiday campaign. Because of COVID we won’t be taking selfies with Flat Haley, but do look for “flatheads” in social media posts and bombing zoom calls!
