Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the GiveOrcas Holiday Catalog. So far, 432 individuals have made 856 donations totaling $99,696 — WOWZA! Congratulations to the Senior Center for winning the Unique Donor Day contest and to OCRC and AOK for placing 2nd and 3rd. We so appreciate how well the organizations are getting the word out.
So far, eight proposals have been fully funded and we have 9 left to fill by the December 15th. WE CAN DO IT (with your help)! If you like to be a tip topper and complete the funding for a proposal, now is your time!
The Flood Relief Program will be issuing the first round of grants through OCRC today. Nine families have completed the application and interview process and will be receiving $750-$10,000 today (a grand total of $36,000 will be awarded). Amazing support! There are eight more families who have applied and will be interviewed between now and Wednesday when the Flood Relief Advisors meet again.
We anticipate that folks will continue to apply. Once the full $100,000 has been allocated, we will conduct a review of the process, adjust as appropriate and renew the grant to OCRC if needed. We are so grateful for the Community Emergency Response Fund donors who make this possible.
