Here comes August!  The Chamber Music Fest returns in person to celebrate their 25th anniversary.  This year’s series will also offer two free concerts on The Village Green.  See their full schedule here.  OICF played a small role, giving Aloysia, Jackie and team their first grant to cover the cost of producing the programs.  How far they have come!  Congratulations to all who made such success possible.

The reconstruction of Prune Alley in Eastsound should be coming to completion by the end of August if all goes as planned.  Not a moment too soon for the many businesses and residents who have been so impacted.  It has certainly been a challenge.

I hope you have had a chance to check out the Volunteer Spotlights that Ed Andrews has been producing.  Each one features a community member and the organization they support with their gift of service.  Nonprofit organizations provide so many critical services in this community and these volunteers play a key role in keeping it all running well, from serving on boards to restocking shelves.  Our community depends on volunteers and one person certainly can make a difference. Thanks to all who step up.

I am heading off to Flathead Lake for a week of family camping.  Ed and Jen will be in the office should you need anything.

Have a great weekend,
Hilary
