Yesterday’s fire on San Juan Island was devastating for so many. The Economic Development Council has launched a fund to support those affected. Contributions can be made here. Thank you to all of the first responders who rallied to help. It was quite an effort by all.
As part of our ongoing capacity building efforts, OICF is hosting an Introduction to Board Service program on Tuesday from noon to 1 via zoom. Diane Berreth and I will provide an overview of basic responsibilities, discuss how to find a good fit, and answer any questions you may have about serving on a Board. Email Ed Andrews, if you would like to join us. With over 100 nonprofits serving this community, there are many great opportunities to get involved.
Moran State Park is hosting a Spring Clean Up on Saturday, April 9 from 9-1. There is plenty of winter storm debris to rake up. Meet at the shelter on Cascade Lake. Bring work gloves. Hotdogs will be served!
