With over 100 nonprofits serving this community, the opportunities for Board service is great. The Orcas Island Community Foundation (OICF) is hosting a workshop for individuals who want to learn more about nonprofit board service. Content will be geared towards those who are new to board service or who are considering future service. Topics will include rules and responsibilities, how to assess organizational culture to assure a good fit, understanding financial statements, and more.
This workshop is scheduled on Wednesday, June 5 from
9:30-11:30 AM at the Emmanuel Parish Hall. There is no charge for the program, however seating is limited, so please RSVP to megan@oicf.us or call 360 376-6423.
