Last week, I asked: How far can we go together?
You, our amazing and generous Orcas Island community of friends, neighbors, kids, leaders, superheroes…answered the call by donating an incredible $278,303. OICF rounded out our shared goal by contributing $6,000, for a total of $284,303!
Together, we fully funded 30 grant requests, empowering all of the Holiday GiveOrcas Grantees to do what they do best in 2025! Congratulations to all of our grantees, and thanks to their exuberant outreach during the campaign, and especially for the impactful work that they do for the community.
GiveOrcas is indeed a true celebration of community. Cheers and congratulations and big high fives for working together to give meaningful gifts that truly matter to ensure Orcas Island is extraordinary.
We hope you enjoyed learning about the interesting programs and projects island nonprofits are working on, and remain engaged by continuing to support their work as they each move forward.

The community Winter Solstice Luminaria Parade is December 21, starting at 5pm at Haven Road. I hope to see you there to “Be the Light” and share the love of our community!
