Future Pies of Olga

There is much to be grateful for this week. The best news is that of the 33 people tested due to exposure at the public school, 32 are negative (the one positive is a family member of the original patient). This is especially wonderful, as it means that the safety protocols the school has instituted are working-wearing masks, shrinking social contacts, and not traveling or hosting guests. Hopefully, if we all follow those protocols, we can stop the spread. More information on testing and current cases is available on the SJI Website.

Given the current rise in cases locally we have returned to working from home. Please do not hesitate to give us a call if you need assistance. We are able to monitor the messages remotely.

As we head into the end of the year, many of you are thinking about year-end gifts. This year, there are some changes in charitable tax deductions contained in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act which was passed to help combat the far-reaching impacts of COVID-19. The bill provides increased tax incentives for charitable giving to stimulate philanthropy. To learn more about the changes and opportunities, click here, or contact your tax advisor.

OICF is at the ready to help, as always.

I am thankful that we, as a community, have done such a good job taking care-care to not spread the virus, care to ensure our neighbors have what they need, and care for each other. During such trying times, being part of a community like this is a true gift. I am ever grateful.

Stay well,
Hilary
